Description

The role

You'd be our first engineering hire. We need someone who can own this codebase, improve it, and build the next phase of features faster than a founder splitting time between product, design, customer success, and engineering.

This is a founding engineer role. You won't be handed Jira tickets. You'll be part of the conversation about what to build, why, and how. You'll ship features that creators interact with the same day. You'll see your work in the wild within hours, not quarters.

What you'd actually be doing

Day to day, this means working across the full stack:

  • Building new features end-to-end
  • Maintaining and improving the existing codebase — fixing bugs, improving performance, paying down tech debt where it matters
  • Owning backend reliability
  • Working with AI APIs
  • Writing and maintaining scraping infrastructure
  • Collaborating directly with both co-founders on product decisions

The stack

  • Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, TanStack Query
  • Backend: Node.js, Express, TypeScript
  • Database: PostgreSQL via Supabase, Drizzle ORM
  • Auth: Clerk
  • Payments: Stripe
  • AI: Google Gemini
  • Email: Resend
  • Analytics: Pirsch, Meta Pixel
  • Project management: Linear

What matters to us

We care about how you think and what you ship, not where you went to school or how many years are on your CV. That said, these things would make you a strong fit:

  • You're comfortable across the full stack. You can build a React component in the morning and debug a PostgreSQL query in the afternoon.
  • You've worked with TypeScript in production, not just tutorials.
  • You've built or maintained something real — a product people actually use, not just side projects.
  • You're comfortable with AI-assisted development.
  • You can work autonomously. We're a small team. Nobody is going to micromanage your day. You need to be able to pick up context, make decisions, and ship.
  • You care about the user experience. We're building for creators who notice design details. "It works" isn't enough — it needs to feel right.
  • You communicate clearly. We're a remote team. Written communication matters. If you can explain a technical decision in plain language, that's a superpower here.
  • Experience with Supabase, Drizzle ORM, or PostgreSQL at depth
  • Experience with AI/LLM APIs
  • Experience at an early-stage startup, where you've worn many hats
  • Interest in the creator economy, digital marketing, or brand building

What we offer

  • Remote-first (UK/EST timezone preferred for overlap)
  • Direct access to both co-founders — no layers, no politics
  • A product people genuinely love using (our users tell us their "link in bio finally looks like them")

About us

Coreli was co-founded by Chloé Watts and Thomas Berolzheimer. Chloé brings 15 years of building digital infrastructure for creators (most recently running chloédigital, a creator strategy agency) and built the entire Coreli platform. Thomas brings 15 years of deep creator economy expertise and runs growth, partnerships, and operations for Juliaberolzheimer.com

We're a small team: two co-founders, a Head of Customer Success, and a marketing hire. You'd be joining at the ground floor of something that's already working and growing.
