About the Role

This opportunity is for a project manager who will serve as the central point of coordination for client projects and internal initiatives in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment. The role requires a blend of project management discipline, technical understanding, and strong stakeholder communication.

Projects may include software implementations and upgrades, system customization, integrations, website builds, optimization efforts, quality assurance planning, and other fundraising technology initiatives.

This position is well suited for someone who is energized by a broad scope of work and is comfortable contributing beyond traditional project management into areas such as consulting, business analysis, technical problem-solving, and quality assurance.

What You’ll Do

  • Apply project management principles and established PMO standards to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and customer satisfaction across multiple concurrent projects of varying size
  • Manage a project portfolio that may include at least one large-scale project with a budget of more than $1 million and/or an implementation timeline of 12 to 18 months
  • Work collaboratively with clients and project teams to define, organize, and oversee deliverables within a centralized task management system
  • Create complex project deliverables such as project charters, risk registers, visual workflows, dashboards, and multi-layered project plans in an autonomous work environment
  • Forecast project hours and resource needs
  • Prepare accurate monthly budget reports reflecting project financial performance
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate onsite client meetings, product launches, and support activities
  • Manage project resources across both internal teams and client teams
  • Proactively identify risks and recommend changes needed to meet project success criteria
  • Escalate project issues and risks appropriately to client stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead project meetings and provide agendas, updates, and regular reports to communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively and accurately with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Support project work that may extend into functional or technical consulting, business analysis, fundraising technology best practices, and QA

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of direct project management experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and concepts, with the ability to manage all phases and deliverables of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with technology project management is required
  • Proficiency with task management systems and project management tools such as Smartsheet
  • Strong analytical and technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new tools and software quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex workflows
  • Ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects, tasks, priorities, and stakeholders
  • Ability to make independent decisions quickly and effectively while evaluating the impact on active projects
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM implementation consulting, including Blackbaud and/or Salesforce platforms, is strongly preferred
  • Experience with SaaS or enterprise software consulting is a plus
  • Familiarity with fundraising and business processes in large nonprofit or higher education environments is a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

Compensation: $82,500 – $98,000 per year, depending on experience
