Job Description: You'll develop new business opportunities for Canonical's portfolio of products and services — from Ubuntu Pro to Kubernetes, OpenStack, and AI/ML infrastructure — targeting organizations at the early stages of their open-source and enterprise Linux journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outbound and inbound prospecting
- Engage with developers, IT managers, and enterprise decision-makers to introduce Canonical's products and services
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns aligned to Canonical's go-to-market priorities
- Qualify leads and hand them to regional Account Executives for progression
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on pipeline activities
- Learn and articulate Canonical's complex portfolio including Ubuntu, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and AI/ML solutions
Requirements:
- Experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar sales development role
- Interest in and willingness to learn open-source technology, enterprise Linux, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for a global, distributed audience
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently
- Comfort working across time zones in a fully remote environment
