Job Description: You'll join Aptira's platform engineering team supporting the build-out of a multi-region bare-metal Kubernetes cluster for a client experiencing explosive growth. This is a serious infrastructure role for someone with real Kubernetes depth and solid security knowledge — keeping a complex production platform reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help build and operate a multi-region bare-metal Kubernetes cluster across multiple cloud regions
- Work across Kata Containers, Kyverno, Cilium, TopoLVM, and Ceph as core platform components
- Support Python microservices, Kafka, Postgres, Valkey, and MongoDB workloads
- Maintain and evolve observability using Grafana LGTM stack
- Automate infrastructure management using Ansible, Helm, and BitBucket pipelines
- Drive platform security, reliability, and operational excellence
Requirements:
- Senior SRE or Platform Engineer with substantial Kubernetes production experience
- Solid security knowledge — network segmentation, container security, policy enforcement
- Good systems knowledge across networking, storage, and compute
- Experience with some combination of the Aptira stack: Kata Containers, Kyverno, Cilium, Ceph
- Familiarity with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or similar)
- Self-directed with strong written communication for an async, remote team
