Job Description: You'll own the frontend of Forage's new consumer mobile app — the first product designed directly for EBT shoppers. You'll oversee significant parts of the codebase, work closely with a small product and design team, and ship features that put real dollars back in low-income families' pockets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own significant portions of Forage's consumer mobile app codebase in React Native
- Work closely with product and design to ship features for EBT shoppers
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive complex projects from design through execution
- Help establish mobile engineering best practices at Forage as the first consumer product scales
- Partner with backend engineers to define APIs and data contracts for the mobile experience
Requirements:
- 3+ years of mobile engineering experience building end-to-end user solutions
- Deep React Native experience — ideally having built an app from scratch or made meaningful production contributions
- Track record of leading technical initiatives and driving complex projects from design through execution
- Strong product sense and attention to user experience quality
Benefits: Competitive compensation ($185K–$200K base), equity, full benefits package, well-funded YC-backed company with a mission to serve 40M+ low-income Americans.
