Job Description: You'll manage Hive's data and integration engineering pods—leading a team responsible for the infrastructure that handles billions of data points and 200M+ messages per month. This is an engineering leadership role for someone who's a great former engineer who now builds great teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Hive's data and integration engineering pods — coaching, mentoring, and maintaining a high performance bar
• Drive team initiatives and priorities, working through dependencies across the company
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of Hive's engineering leadership team
• Recruit great engineers in collaboration with the People team
• Improve processes and tools to make the team more productive and deliver better outcomes
• Set and hold a high bar for engineering quality in data and integration systems

Requirements:

• 3+ years of engineering management experience with 5+ years hands-on backend engineering background
• Experience managing data or platform engineering teams
• Strong technical depth in backend, data pipelines, or integrations
• Comfortable in a remote-first, async-driven environment
• Must have legal Canadian work authorization; Quebec not included
