About the Company: Deep Core Technology is building geologic modelling software, based on reasoning, to help mining and mineral exploration companies work faster. Their goal is to create a way to enable open-ended, interpretive geologic problem solving to be done programmatically, changing the way to explore for hard rock and critical minerals. Currently in active fundraising.
Job Description: You are the founding engineer on the team, joining co-founder (Neil, CEO) and Jeff (CTO) as first employee. You'll have deep influence over systems and architecture and ownership through the entire stack — from the database, through geostatistical backend services, through 3D rendering on the client side.
Skills Required:
- Full-stack engineering (backend through 3D rendering)
- Python or similar for scientific computing
- Database architecture and geostatistical systems
- Ability to work in a seed-stage, high-ownership environment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Ideally: familiarity with scientific computing or geo-data systems
- Must be based in Canada (remote)
- Comfortable as a first hire, shaping the entire technical foundation
