Job Description: You'll build and scale backend systems that power Prove's phone-based identity verification network, processing billions of transactions with high reliability and security standards for the US financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build high-throughput, fault-tolerant backend services for identity verification at scale
  • Work on real-time data pipelines and APIs serving 9 of the top 10 US banks
  • Maintain strict security, compliance, and reliability standards for financial-grade identity infrastructure
  • Collaborate with product and platform teams on new identity verification capabilities
  • Participate in on-call and contribute to reliability improvements

Skills Required: Go or Java backend engineering, high-throughput distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), API design, identity/security engineering awareness, fintech compliance familiarity.

Requirements:

  • Senior backend engineering experience with distributed systems at scale
  • Experience in financial services, identity, or security-adjacent engineering preferred
