Job Description: A senior executive engineering leadership role, reporting to C-suite. You'll shape GitLab's DevOps engineering strategy and lead multiple engineering organizations responsible for the platform's deployment, reliability, and operational excellence at global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop multiple engineering teams within the DevOps Engineering organization
- Define and drive technical strategy, engineering culture, and organizational health
- Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Security leadership on platform roadmap
- Attract, hire, and retain world-class engineering talent globally
- Communicate engineering direction, decisions, and progress to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders
- Drive initiatives that improve deployment velocity, uptime, and operational efficiency across GitLab
Requirements:
- Extensive experience leading large engineering organizations (Director and above)
- Deep technical background in DevOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE
- Strong record of building and scaling distributed engineering teams
- Excellent executive communication and strategic thinking
- Experience in a high-growth, remote-first tech company strongly preferred
