Our client seeks a Business Project Manager to lead the end-to-end business execution and go-to-market planning for a complex, cross-functional Specialty Benefits Individual Dental and Vision initiative. The role will integrate strategy, delivery, and adoption across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Underwriting, Finance, Billing, Enrollment, and technology partners. The manager will own the unified business program plan, drive stakeholder engagement and governance, and ensure risk-managed, on-time execution and rollout. Success will depend on strong communication, matrix leadership, change management, and agile program delivery experience.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end business program plan, integrating all workstreams into a cohesive execution roadmap and project plan.
  • Develop and maintain individual workstream plans and the overarching program plan with aligned dependencies, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive execution across strategy, go-to-market activities, marketing, communications, training, market rollout, change management, and support.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies across workstreams to ensure alignment and remove silos.
  • Lead and guide a matrixed team of cross-functional resources and drive accountability at the workstream and program levels.
  • Partner with workstream leads to connect execution detail to program strategy and outcomes.
  • Define and align roles, responsibilities, and resource allocation with the Enterprise Technology project manager.
  • Build relationships through trust, transparency, and clear communication.
  • Align sales, marketing, communications, and execution plans across all workstreams.
  • Define and drive training strategy and execution, including content ownership, rollout approach, and user readiness.
  • Establish and track marketing and communication strategies for consistent internal and external messaging.
  • Develop and manage communication plans detailing changes, timing, user impacts, and required actions.
  • Ensure execution across appropriate channels including internal communications, leadership cascades, external platforms, and websites.
  • Lead the change management workstream to enable alignment and successful rollout across impacted teams.
  • Own and execute the go-to-market strategy, including stakeholder and user readiness across impacted audiences.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, governance, and communication to ensure alignment across the business.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions, governance forums, and decision-making sessions.
  • Serve as the central communication conduit across teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors with regular status updates.
  • Drive momentum and accountability, ensuring priorities are clear and progressing.
  • Identify risks and hidden issues early and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Adjust plans proactively to maintain delivery confidence and readiness for go-live, including support and hypercare models.
  • Integrate business project plans, risks, assumptions, issues, and status into a comprehensive program view with technology and business leads.
  • Assess workstream progress and determine overall program health and success.
  • Co-own project status reporting with the technology project manager and monitor adherence to vendor SOWs.

Experience Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of business project management and complex program leadership experience.
  • Proven large-scale program leadership with strong delivery governance.
  • Experience leading matrix teams and driving accountability across levels.
  • Strategic and execution mindset connecting business strategy to go-to-market and delivery.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement with the ability to simplify complexity and influence leaders and teams.
  • Proactive risk identification and problem solving with sharp analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong business and technical acumen with SDLC and Agile experience, able to align business needs and technology.
  • Health insurance or managed care industry experience (preferred).

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business or equivalent work experience.
