Job Description: You'll scale the editorial calendar and continuously improve existing content across The Swiftest's comparison sites covering insurance, pets, travel, home, and lifestyle. The founders are looking for someone who can write exceptionally well and manage a distributed team of writers and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scale the editorial calendar across The Swiftest's portfolio of comparison websites
  • Continuously improve existing content across Pet, Travel, Lifestyle, Home, Car, and Insurance niches
  • Edit content to a high standard — this is primarily an editorial quality role
  • Manage a distributed team of writers and occasionally developers
  • Research topics and keep content current with changing products, prices, and information
  • Apply SEO fundamentals to improve organic performance of existing content
  • Manage WordPress sites for content publishing

Skills Required: Exceptional writing ability, editorial judgment, content management (WordPress), Google Docs/Sheets, team management, SEO basics, out-of-the-box critical thinking, detail orientation.

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker — the founders will test your writing during the hiring process
  • Exceptional writing ability is the primary qualification
  • Out-of-the-box critical thinking and strong editorial instincts
  • Experience managing a team of writers
  • WordPress experience preferred
  • Insurance, pet, travel, or lifestyle niche knowledge a bonus
  • Must be available for a few hours in Pacific time afternoons
