Job Description: Customer.io is seeking a Director of Sales for EMEA to help grow and lead sales efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role drives regional revenue growth, develops high-performing account executive teams, and ensures sales strategy execution effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale a team of Account Executives focused on mid-market and early enterprise accounts across EMEA
  • Coach team to move beyond features — uncover business challenges and align Customer.io to meaningful customer outcomes
  • Guide strategic selling motions using frameworks like MEDDICC, Challenger, or SPIN
  • Develop and execute regional territory plans for sustained pipeline growth
  • Lead and coach on outbound sales motions; ensure team builds majority of pipeline through outbound prospecting
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Development, and Partnerships
  • Forecast accurately and manage to targets with operational rigor
  • Hire, onboard, and develop exceptional sales talent

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of SaaS sales leadership experience, including building and leading high-performing AE teams
  • Strong track record driving solution/value-based selling motions in mid-market and early enterprise segments
  • Experience in martech, CDP, or customer engagement platforms preferred
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-country EMEA sales environments

Skills Required: MEDDICC/Challenger/SPIN sales methodology, pipeline generation, team leadership, SaaS, CRM, forecasting, martech
