Job Description: You'll own Synthesis Health's edge infrastructure and data ingestion platform — building the systems that reliably capture clinical data from health system sources and deliver it into Synthesis's decision support infrastructure. This is a foundational engineering role in Canadian healthtech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build edge infrastructure and data ingestion pipelines for clinical data at scale
- Own reliability, observability, and performance of data ingestion systems
- Build developer-friendly tooling and abstractions for internal teams using the ingestion platform
- Partner with clinical and product teams to ensure data quality and completeness
- Contribute to security and compliance standards for clinical data infrastructure
Skills Required: Platform engineering, edge computing, data ingestion pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS, observability (Prometheus, Grafana or similar), Python or Go, clinical data standards (HL7, FHIR) preferred.
Requirements:
- Platform or infrastructure engineering experience with a focus on data ingestion
- Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience
- Must be based in Canada with Canadian work authorization
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience a strong plus
