Job Description: You'll own Synthesis Health's edge infrastructure and data ingestion platform — building the systems that reliably capture clinical data from health system sources and deliver it into Synthesis's decision support infrastructure. This is a foundational engineering role in Canadian healthtech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build edge infrastructure and data ingestion pipelines for clinical data at scale
  • Own reliability, observability, and performance of data ingestion systems
  • Build developer-friendly tooling and abstractions for internal teams using the ingestion platform
  • Partner with clinical and product teams to ensure data quality and completeness
  • Contribute to security and compliance standards for clinical data infrastructure

Skills Required: Platform engineering, edge computing, data ingestion pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS, observability (Prometheus, Grafana or similar), Python or Go, clinical data standards (HL7, FHIR) preferred.

Requirements:

  • Platform or infrastructure engineering experience with a focus on data ingestion
  • Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience
  • Must be based in Canada with Canadian work authorization
  • Healthcare or regulated industry experience a strong plus

Benefits: "Use as needed" vacation policy, medical/dental/vision, employee option program, fully remote Canada-wide culture.
