Project Manager - Learning & Development
Location: Remote - Thousand Oaks, CA (Part-time/PST preferred)
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2 only, no C2C)
Contract Length: 5 months (possible extension)
Compensation: $65–$72 per hour (based on experience)
Summary of the Role
Support a critical integration initiative within a global biotech organization by leading the Learning & development workstream during a post-acquisition transition. This role is responsible for coordinating execution, tracking deliverables, and ensuring training readiness across multiple teams. The project manager will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain timelines, manage risks, and ensure smooth transition into business-as-usual operations in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day coordination for the Learning & Development integration workstream
- Maintain detailed project plans and execution tracking in Smartsheet
- Drive accountability across cross-functional teams
- Identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
- Prepare weekly status reports for integration leadership
- Maintain RAID logs, action logs, and meeting documentation
- Track readiness milestones and ensure Day 1 deliverables are met
- Prepare Day 30 and Day 90 integration status summaries
- Coordinate resources across project lifecycle phases
- Facilitate transition from integration phase to steady-state operations
- Ensure alignment with project management and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Project management experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments
- Strong proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience managing medium to large scale projects
- Strong risk management and dependency tracking experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices
- Experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments
- Experience with integration, transformation, or change initiatives preferred
- Knowledge of compliance, audit, or training processes preferred

- Strong project management experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
- Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Attend project meetings and PMO meetings
- Update project plans and execution trackers
- Follow up with stakeholders on deliverables
- Maintain project status reports and documentation
- Monitor timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders
- Support integration-readiness activities
- Ensure accurate tracking of workstream tasks
