Job Description: You'll own entire products and features from start to finish — originating ideas, talking to users, building, shipping, iterating. Many of PostHog's most-loved features were built by a single engineer. This is not a "hand work to QA" environment. You write the docs, you do support rotations, you own the UX, and you ship it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own products and features from idea origination through post-launch iteration
- Ship MVPs in production with real users, not staging environments
- Build the basic UX of your work using PostHog's design system; collaborate with design for polish
- Talk regularly to users, keep relationships, iterate with them when you ship new things
- Rotate as Support Hero: investigate and resolve issues from real customers on your product
- Write documentation for new features you ship
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements:
- Full-stack experience with PostHog's relevant technologies: Python or similar backend, React or similar frontend
- Experience taking a project from 0 to 1 — led a project, been a founder, or built an impressive side project
- Strong writing skills — PostHog documents everything publicly; persuasive async communication is essential
Nice to have: High-growth SaaS experience; deep Django/TypeScript-React knowledge; experience building AI-native products or integrating AI into software.
Benefits: Transparent compensation (public calculator), generous equity with 10-year exercise window and double-trigger acceleration, private health/dental/vision, meeting-free Tuesdays and Thursdays, async-first culture, zero micromanagement.
