Product Manager (AI Platform & Developer Experience)

X4 Engineering are proud to be partnering with an innovative, venture-backed start-up at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI agent ecosystem.

The organisation are developing a next-generation platform designed to standardize how AI agents interact, collaborate, and integrate with external systems.

As part of their continued growth, they’re looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of their core platform and developer experience. This is a highly technical role where you’ll define product direction, prioritize features, and work closely with engineering to ship robust, developer-first solutions. You’ll play a key role in translating complex AI and agent-based capabilities into intuitive products that developers love to use.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a senior software engineer or team lead before transitioning into product management.
• Proven experience working on B2B platforms and developer-focused products (APIs, SDKs, onboarding flows).
• Strong understanding of the AI/agent ecosystem, including concepts such as MCP, tool use, context management, and multi-agent systems.
• Experience working in early-stage startup environments with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity.
• Track record of building and shipping developer-facing products and influencing product direction.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, design, and product without rigid boundaries.
