Job Description: You'll contribute to Grafana's core backend infrastructure, working on the systems that power one of the world's most widely adopted observability platforms. As a Staff Engineer, you'll bring technical depth and a strong sense of ownership, driving meaningful contributions across the stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction for core backend services
• Collaborate with distributed teams across the globe in an async-first culture
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with a focus on reliability and performance

Requirements:

• Strong experience building backend systems in Go (preferred) or similar languages
• Experience with distributed systems, databases, and observability tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first environment
• Proven technical leadership at the Staff or principal level
